Question of the decade - are they RGB?
You called?
I jodelledâŠ
OrâŠI tried to.
Anyway!
The result:
The temps dropped a few degrees. Almost within ambient room temp variations
Thereâs probably a larger gain at higher temps, but even under sustained 100% CPU load on all cores, OC @5GHz, it stays around 70°C (160°F).
Looks awesome! Howâs the noise from idle to full tilt?
Good question!
I used a decibel app on my phone, so take it for what itâs worth. About 32db on idle and 34 on full.
And, I was wrong earlier. Max temp is actually around 60°C (140°F).
Damn thatâs quiet.
60°C under loadâŠall good!
What did you use to load the CPU? I have used Prime95 when I want to test CPU or RAM.
The CPUID app has a stress CPU⊠Makes all cores go to 100%. All I know.
I havenât done any scientific studies like logging temps over time, or anything.
Youâre in Norway. Just open a window.
You tryinâ to kill me?
Well, if MudSpike ever needs a datacenterâŠ
Made another improvement today.
The scissor link arms can be difficult to handle, when closing the sidewall. The over center âkneeâ must be opened and the wall moved closer so the arms wonât extend again.
And the arms have a slight play in the extended position.
So I mounted springs that locks the arms when extended and helps folding the arms when closing!
Pretty clever, huh?
All you need is some machinery to start mass producing!
âŠso is it just me, or, with all these improvements, is anybody else out there thinking that we are wittnessing the actual âRise of the Machinesâ? Should we be worried?
Yes definitely
WellâŠsh*t!
I did laugh out so loud at that
