Simulators and morbid realizations

I mean, you never know when that might come in handy!

I’m not art my home computer but I think the app FSX ME does work with some versions of P3D. Will look into that when I get home.

I gave it another try.

Played a bit with the failures and the Eng Fire is the one I have chosen. With occurrence at exact alt 50ft AGL.

Fire!

First try was terrible. After TORFUR NDB I decided to help my self a bit with AP VS mode. Got distracted and drifted to the left. And there was dead end. This is second after impact.

Next try I went with hand flying only and managed the departure and approach also. Although wasnt able to keep up with the climb gradient anyway. Requested to be ABOVE 3960 at D15.0 IEY. Was able to reach that alt only at D17.5 IEY…

On the approach dropped from the clouds little bit to the right but it was relief to see the runway finaly. Final approach seemed to take forever. I felt like I am hovering there on the same spot.

Had good time!

In doing a bit more research on that airport I also came across the hilarious NDB 19…

VOR to NDB1
NDB1 tracking and DME outbound to a procedure turn
NDB1 tracking inbound
NDB1 tracking outbound to a DME fix (FAF)
Fly to NDB2 (on a bearing of course) to a DME MAP
MAP to NDB2
Track to NDB3
At 2.5DME Track to NDB4
Pass NDB4 and point yourself at NDB5
Pass 4500 left turn to intercept VOR radial
Go hold

Me: Cancel IFR…going VFR…

So you want me to try it again ? :face_with_head_bandage:
Once I transition to jets I will give it a go. But first I need to park my Turbolet in Melbourne.
