YOU would have pets. I feel your pain Cib … I’ve been through it many times. All I can say is there’s another dog out there waiting for your help whenever you’re ready. Don’t mourn too long … you can remember Pepper while adopting a new dog.

Very sorry for your loss Cib. The are with us such a short time.

Oh no. :frowning:
Sorry for your loss.

I am very sorry for your loss; I am sure he was a good buddy!

This morning, Retro’s companion for nearly all of his life, Penny…joined him on the other side. She didn’t have much of an appetite this morning, and was a bit wobbly on her legs. She had been losing weight and an hour ago she went to her liter box one last time…then tried to hide in a closet. I was with her as she took her last breaths. She was 20 years old, a Valentine’s Day present for my then girlfriend and now wife Marisa. She was always a perfect cat…well behaved and as sweet as can be.

This was her this morning…having a tiny bit of chicken. I knew this was her last day.

Farewell sweet Penny…man I miss her so much already…

Very sorry for your loss Chris. It’s never easy to say goodbye, but at least she spent her final hours with you there and at home.

Sorry for your loss. :frowning:
She was a beautiful cat, in fact she looks almost exactly like mine (as we noticed some time ago when we both posted pictures in the pet thread).

Sorry for your loss. It is always difficult when you lose such a longtime friend, housemate and part of the family.
Good to hear though that you were there, and that she had such a long and good life.

That’s a very respectable age.
She must have had a good life, to get to be that old.
Is this the cat who got stuck in the ejection handle?

Bye Penny.

Haha…that was our 2-year old black cat “Saluda” that we found as a kitten on the railroad tracks in Saluda, NC. His jet black coat and general misbehavior has also earned him the nickname “Toothless” from How To Train Your Dragon…

Poor thing, we lost our 20 year old cat pebbles early this year and I planted a fig tree on her grave. I feel your loss

Wow, sorry that little kitty has passed, but really glad they (Retro included) could be part of your lives for so long.

They really do know how to worm their way into our hearts.
