Ha! No doubt.
And donât forget the most important part: collect signals intelligence. Thatâs what worries me.
Which may well be why were intercepting them inside our ADIZ, and using the F-22âs with the least amount of RAM coating left. Interesting thought exercise on it
And they are carrying radar reflectors. But I think itâs not so much what goes into the F-22, but maybe what comes out of it? D/L, Radar (surely theyâre not using the âgoodâ channels) stuff like thatâŠ
Iâd imagine itâs a GCI, using our 1960âs air defense radars. Or a 1980âs AWACS. Probably same reason their using sidewinders, very minimal emissions.
Hope youâre 100% right. Thereâs a lot of cool stuff on the 9X that people in countries with 4-letter abbreviations would love to take a look at.
Wouldnât it be wild if they were just baiting us into expending 'winders (I heard âno warheadâ, think thatâs true?) over non .mil range land, and then a few days later a bunch of foreign tourists are going hiking and camping in those same areas?
Sounds like a heckuva plot for a season __ of The Americans!
Excellent series.
Watching the latest season finale of Slow Horses, left me feeling like The Americans needs to be followed up with The British, or something similar.
Iâll have to watch that one.
Of course the Brits have already had their share of great espionage films/shows, like Smileyâs People, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, and yours had Alec Guinness!
Loved that one!
Gary Oldman is superb in Slow Horses. I canât imagine anyone else for the part. So happy to read that itâs been renewed for a 3rd and 4th season. Must read the novels once it has concluded.
Oh my gosh, I didnât realize it was the Gary Oldman production, and that it had already come out! Too cool!
I have to admit I loved him in the remake of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy as much as I did Guinness in the original. Great homage. Added Slow Horses to my watchlist, thanks!
I know that I will probably be burned at the stake for saying this, but I actually preferred the remake of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy⊠I thought Oldman was perfectly cast as George Smiley.
And now that I am aware of Slow Horses it has been added to my must watch list.
I wonât throw stones for that. I certainly loved it, and am excited to see more of him playing that type of role. I think he did every bit as well as Guinness. Of course, he had the inspiration of the original to build on. (And hearing about how Oldman remains âin-characterâ, I have a feeling he was very interesting to work with on and around the set!)
For some reason whenever I hear 99 Red Balloons I always end up Playing Scotty Doesnât Know right afterâŠ
Prerty sure they self destruct
If they have a warhead, sure. If the warhead has been removed for a special purpose, then
In a recently released and verified photo, a U-2 pilot captured a selfie with the balloon.
âBut first, let me take a selfie.â
