I guess I should have used the word “attempt”. You don’t want to attempt a full-stall landing (or anything like it), since the canard stalls and therefore the wing will not = nose drop and crunch.

I used to use 90kts in the pattern, cross the fence at 80 and touching down by 70kts. Flew it right down to the runway like a small jet, seemed to work well. Not a STOL machine, but not a runway-eater either. The one I have the most time in didn’t have the speed brake installed, so that might change things.

Unless you put those canards on a rotating axis, controlled by powerful servos and a fly-by-wire computer which would make it possible to utilize this instability to increase the maneuverability of the aircraft.

Is there by chance a module of such a machine?

There is a community mod of the Gripen and we’re getting the Eurofighter. Well, the Gripen is relaxed stability, as is the EF I think.
