Aside from the fact it stains the tank/engine, it’s basically an honesty system. You get a fine/slap on the wrist if you get caught. For all the money it must cost to actually police it, they can’t recoup the amount. Just bizarre.
A lot simpler, cuts on any need for separate pumps and all the nonsense that goes with and is easily covered in your quarterly tax return.
Hold my beer whilst I go outside and shout at the clouds.
No, just typical bureaucracy… Like the use of contractors in the military and civil service.
I once made the mistake of asking why do we pay so much for a single contractor when the same amount could employ 3 or 4 civil servants or mil pers to do the same job?
The answer was straight out of an episode of Yes Minister. The extremely long winded reply boiled down to - contractor money came from a different ‘bucket’ to the regular defence budget, so even though it actually cost more, as far as the department was concerned it was a net saving.
Ah, you’ve discovered how companies work these days! It is hillarious how they nickle and dime basic equipment but you see these overpaid ‘consultants’ walking around being oblivious idiots.
So I’ve finally got around to messing with the S250G. Plated up the holes and generally made it a bit bigger inside. Removed some old electric boxes and had to plate up a fairly endless hole on the front which i hadnt expected.
Bought a diesel heater to go in there as well. Need to mount that somewhere removable so i can use it in the truck. If the ■■■■■■■ thing ever actually arrives
Nice day to drag the family out in the battle tractor. We met up with my mate and his lovely m35a2 Reo. Also a hilux insisted on breaking our little convoy up, it was quite funny when i realised it looked like we had captured a Technical.
If we extrapolate the way you acquire vehicles based on their sizes then in a few decades we are looking at you owning like, a small cruiser or destroyer.
