Best story yet! LMAO
Interesting to see the undersampling being useful, as in still clearer than all the other headsets while still not running a native resolution.
So actual signs of life in the HP Store. Looks like the UK is leading the way on this one, available for order incredibly.
Oh man. That review seals the deal for me. Now to start the wife campaign.
Manā¦that is a great review. I do think Iām sold on it.
I want it but canāt afford it. One of you lot has to go first for this one.
Still interested to see some sim fanās detailed Valve Index reviews as well, just to complete the āNew VR Spring Trifectaā but it does seem like the Reverb has the pure pixels I would like. If the Indexās main feature is 120 or 144 Hz refresh rate, then for sims that aināt gonna fly (or rather, it will more like 60 fps instead).
Iād be happy to go first. Anyone seen one laying around?
I think today Iām going to roll back the 1903 update. If I thought a fix was in the wings, Iād wait, but I think Iāll just do the windows update rollback.
Yep, Microsoft confirmed that 1903 broke WMR rendering, so to get that 2.0 render resolution youāll need to go back. For me, it was pretty quick, and the rollback didnāt take long.
Itās really curious that the reviewer insists on a solid 60 fps in all the sims, to the extent that he will downsample the display resolution and refresh rate to 60 Hz to achieve that. Itās an interesting way to do it, but I think thatās quite unusual. Normally I see a lot more use of setting a native resolution (say 180% SS in the Reverbās case in SteamVR) and then staying at 90 Hz, but letting reprojection be used. A lot of us are getting used to DCS and X-Plane at a reprojected 45 fps (or 40 fps for the Rift Sās) so to see that āIt must be 60 fpsā approach was an interesting thing to see.
Looks like the US Store tomorrow:
Hovering over my keyboard at 12:01AMā¦
DEFINITELY looking forward to your review!
Whatās the difference?
Pro version has a leather face strap while the home version is regular foam I believe.
Thatās correct, and an additional backpack PC type connector or something for the cable.
Congratulations Chris! Iām looking forward to hearing your thoughts when you get it.
Looking forward to your review.

Well, weāll probably already know everything about how simmers feel about the Reverb by the time I get mine. Ship dates arenāt until June 18 for the United Statesā¦so it will be a bit of a waitā¦
