I’ve looked at range rovers but the reliability of them is a major concern for me. Price of parts and depreciation is another big factor.
It’s not just the corporation tax, it is also building in a bit of capacity for the company and as I’ll be (doing my best) to keep my original hilux as a spare vehicle, it builds in a bit of redundancy and the ability to grow a little bit bit with only the purchase of another trailer if so needed.
I see what you are saying about the pension pot though. It’s something I am keen to utilise as well. I hate paying tax lol
At my parking lot at work - our parking is shared with celebrities, politicians, and sports teams that temporarily park with us while they head out of town on road trips. I remember hearing about our NBA team (Charlotte Hornets) and how the team manager in the past had suggested to players that they drive an “austere” car to the airport…apparently this guy didn’t get the memo! Just your run-of-the-mill $200,000 car… Hate to break it to him that that spot will result in a mound of bird poop by the end of the day…
I suppose it could be Michael Jordan’s… (?) - he better not door ding my awesome Subaru since I’m parked right next to him…
Yay, I got a licence for my trailer. Like an extension to my drivers license. The thing is legal now, and my insurance is no longer legally void. Phew!
It was, however a better one became available for a pittance more than the one. Better spec, lower mileage and 6 months newer. Bright blue as well rather than the charcoal grey (I’m a sucker for blue)
7-8 weeks and it will be ready to go to work
I’m still going back and forth on the deal to be honest. One minute I’m totally confident and happy and then I get cold sweats and start shaking. I paid the deposit (well the company has, I’m still not taking a wage ) but he’s said I can cancel at any time up to delivery without penalty. I’ve nearly done it twice already
