They have a new album out in December which I preordered already. Some of the tracks were recorded with Charlie before he passed.

There are literally kids that graduated from high school this June born after their last album came out, quite a gap

Condolences mate.

Sorry to hear that piper. Damn!

Agreed!

Very John Barry-esque in orchestration and structure, yes. Adele managed to replicate that very well a decade ago.

Nice. I hope that style never goes out of style.

This stuff is kinda timeless, also loved the Swan Lake interlude, I wouldn’t mind if it was played across TV and radio stations in Russia sometime soon again if you get my drift.

Sturgil Simpson is one of my favorite artist. The man just has talent oozing out of him. He can sing and oh my can he pick a guitar. Here’s a couple of my favorite songs of his. It’s interesting because these sound just like the country I was raised on, but he’s also got a rock album that they made a full length anime film with. Guy has range.

Just finished listening to the 50th anniversary remaster of The Dark Side of the Moon. Then I listened to the 2018 remix of Animals.
Previously I listened to the new Rollings Stones album Hackneyed Diamonds. I am stunned at how good Mick’s voice still is. Indistinguishable from Voodoo Lounge or Bridges to Babylon in the 90s.
The album itself was excellent, classic Stones and should appeal to any fan of theirs.

Oh yeah, good stuff. I really like most of his albums, but Metamodern Sounds in Country Music is far and away my favorite from him.
