Knowing the history and cultural roots of bluegrass, this totally checks out.

It does! It is just weird to hear such drums with it.

I am just happy that as I get older, I can still be surprised and delighted at the same time.

I almost got some shamisen tones near the end… Hmm shamisen metal, what would that sound like?

Google to the rescue, and I am surprised and delighted again

Maybe more time with musicians and less with the plastic surgeon would be helpful to everyone’s ears?

Great song, Better flying! Featuring the LEGEND that is Kirby Chambliss. Some of you may recognize the song as being featured in one of the greatest movies ever made!

It’s not bad at all, I was much more into Black Metal when I was younger, but there’s something with the audio-mix that feels… rough? incomplete? tentative?
Very little bass has any impact in the song and the voice is almost as if it’s being tackled on top as an afterthought.

There’s A LOT of good things going on, don’t get me wrong… needs some little work and then it’s bloody brilliant!

Mixing is an under appreciated aspect of music. A bad mix can totally ruin a great song.
Of course, a great mix can’t save a bad song.
