Where Are You Photos [2024]

It is lucky that I have dinner in the oven, because now I am really hungry and have a hankering for a burrito :yum:

2 for $8 doesn’t seem like a bad deal to me if they are good? A Big Mac costs about US$ 6 here… but at least I don’t live in Switzerland

Moms made quite a bit of progress yesterday. She found the rest of the border pieces and did not do too shabby with finding distinct sections the puzzle.

And back home

Party ended not in the kitchen but around the campfire

Ominous storm clouds and pretty strong winds gusting up to 70km/h blew a lot of dust into the air and made for some dramatic lighting. For a few moments it looked like we were about to get hit by a few thunderstorms but they passed us just to the north and south, we only got some light showers that passed quickly. The tent stood strong!

Not all that often that you fill up right as the odometer rolls over to the beginning of the next 1,000 miles. :sunglasses:

95,000 miles on a Southern California vehicle that we have had for eleven years and ten days is not at all bad. I used to put 25,000 a year on a vehicle just commuting to work.

Does she fancy a 3D puzzle challenge?

We started this at the weekend and have 26metres to do before winter.

Granite is about 3 tonne per cubic metre x 26 linear metres = that’s quite a workout!

We’re using river stone, so not quite as heavy as granite. KFF (Keets fudge factor of 2.2/m cubed). Still a lot, however the mini digger is helping.

How we finished the day. (Yesterday)

Unsurprisingly today was Welsh weather, so not as much fun.

Well done!

I go smaller scale and manually :face_with_spiral_eyes:

It is my wife’s project that needed someone to do it = me. And who am I to say no

Thing is I have no idea how much material is needed per 1x1 meter of the wall so I am determined to build until this pile gets exhausted.

(wish @schurem walks around with his knowleadge, squad and tools!)

She skipped Sunday and this is what she had done last night when she stopped for the day.

I got way too little sleep on saturday/sunday and I’m feeling it. 140km over two days with only 3.5 hours of sleep is not enough I guess so I’m taking it easy this week. Looking forward to a long weekend and holidays

I can’t easily help you with tools, crew and hands on advice so you’ll have to pick my brain remotely. What are you trying to do? Retaining wall? What is the black fabric for?

US of A. Katterbach Kaserne with the Black Angels

The Blackhawk we hoped to see had operational comitments but we had already had a Bo 105 ex Bundeswehr at the weekend and they gave us a Huey to climb over as well , plus lunch in the canteen and later drinks in the Bowling alley. A great visit.

Observations.

  1. The brooms in the roof are standard to the chinook but have not yet been modelled in DCS.
  2. Who gave my wife a socket spanner for the overhead panels?

Two videos follow of the US Army asking for technical assistance from the Black Angels with the Chinook ramp.

We learnt a lot about flying both types. Two of the four Apache pilots that were supervising us fly DCS.

Outstanding tour Scoop. Is that tactical broom for sweeping 7.62 cases out of the cargo area?
