I was just thinking that exact thing

If you had driven over, you might have got a complete service

Sitting in a A319 on the ramp at Nurnburg. Captain just gave us a talk explaining how there is a problem on the port wing. Ten minutes to fix and ten minutes for paperwork. He then went outside to inspect the speed tape.

So on the first photo which coincidentally may feature the damage. What is the pod on the top of the fuselage forward of the fin? (tcas?). The other photos are of the captain having a conference with engineer (man with clipboard) and others.

Water has now been handed out. Air temp 32C but APU and aircon is running.

1510 local. Fault is fixed but we have lost our slot. ETD 1600 but Captain says ATC may bring that forward. We have a three hour lay over in Frankfurt for our connection to Heathrow. Others are on a tighter time scale

A forty minute flight flown in under thirty. They had all the connecting flight informatiin sorted and passed on to those needing it. A great job by the crew. Sadly they were let down by a ground staff member who chose to ignore reports of two unattended bags in the terminal.

Considering yours is likely in better shape now than several of their own they might have commandeered it for their own motor pool. :face_with_peeking_eye:

Last day of the week, light tailwind. I chose the scenic route. About 10km of dedicated bike paths that even enjoy the right of way at a few street crossings. It’s the little detour you can see on the map. Pushed my average to over 32km/h before I hit the city and had to slow down due to traffic lights and congestion.

Just spotted I had missed out the BRRRT and woosh stuff

That MRE (specifically menu #1) gives me PTSD of fervently praying that the TP pack included would be sufficient.

I’m with @WarPig

That MRE is both BRRRT and woosh… FOB latrines are the worst

Moms some pretty decent progress yesterday August 29, 2024.

If she spends anything other than a cursory amount of time on it today I could see her competing the rest of the puzzle.

Forgot this is labor day weekend in the US. Had to go to the store. Hopefully this parking spot is far enough away…

That is usually how a Wifi antenna looks, well it does on our fleet, not sure on this specific type but I would presume it is in there.

TCAS antenna’s are on both the bottom and top because they need to be aware of dangers from all sides.

Antenna’s on the bottom are usually radar altimeters, short range comms, that sort of thing. On the top you will also find satcom and HF.

Sounds right. Neither of the aircraft I flew that had TCAS had such a pod. Neither had wifi.

When we got back home we found the recent storm in the UK had brought down a neighbours tree across our garden. It missed our garage damaging two hedges and the bottom fence. LOTS of firewood. About two years worth. In UK the wood is considered ours.
Tomorrow off to Gibraltar for three days.

That’s an extremely lucky fall!

Could very easily have taken out the garage, the seedum log store and the house.
