Where You Are Photos (2020)

That’s because it is really a Transformer!

This fills my heart with joy, not just because something to fragile and precious still fought to make it into the world, but because my daughter too was born in 2011 and is called Olivia.

That’s fantastic Komemiute. Will pass on to my Olivia. She will love that.

Took time Sunday to clean my bike with a quick hand-wash, then got to cleaning the chain and front sprocket cover, followed by fresh chain lubricant.

Then went for a ride - it was partly cloudy and 14°C.
When I got home it was overcast and 11°C but this apparently doesn’t stop insect season from getting going, so now I will have to clean it again when I get some more warmth to be working with water outside!

Using some old scrap plywood and timber I thought “might come in handy one day” (turns out I was right!) to make some more backyard entertainment for Eva.

She is also learning how to use the workshop ruler - I think the circular saw has to wait a bit longer yet, though.

How hi are those lifts and how much weight?

I’ll have to measure them but the bike is only 375lb (170kg) approx. [2009 Ninja 250 R / EX250J]

Hedgehog in the garden, taken with my iPhone torch on.

The dog loves finding them… it’s as though he’s laughing at my feeble human night vision. “Look, look here. Right at the end of my nose, are you blind!!!”

We had one that lived somewhere in the back yard (sorry, the back garden) when we lived in the UK. He used to visit us on the patio. They are so cute.

Doing a little car maintenance. Had to remove the battery to recharge it a couple of days ago. Got it reinstalled and have spent the last 45 minutes reading the manual and resetting the computers.

Yeah, my wife let hers sit too long, but luckily have a smart charger and a long extension cord. What I learned from the experience is that a warning to drive her car every few days wasn’t enough. I would need to do it or I will be going for the charger and extension cord again. Not complaining. She has been doing the majority of home schooling, which with 3 young kids is a handful.

My wife’s Passat electric window and door look on the drivers side started playing up a week or so ago and refused to raise or lower or unlock on occasion.
I took the door apart thinking a loose cable or maybe a pin snapped…negative. we have the door completely stripped out and Duct tape holding the window up and the door closed till a complete window sub frame and regulator arrives…whoops. should of left it.

So my Volvo’s internal internet system was acting up and I couldn’t connect to Pandora. I had to pull out and reseat the SIM card…by myself! :open_mouth:

…not sensing a lot of sympathy on this one. :grimacing:

So the planet (actually a moon) in the film Avatar was called Pandora. If you have seen the film, you may recall that the aliens can telepathically communicate with the horse-things and the flying dragon-things by attaching the animal’s ear-things to the aliens…I want to say…“tails”.

So since I was trying to get my Volvo to link to Pandora (music) via the internet…and I had to reseat the SIM card…(which all really happened…it took me all of 30 seconds)…so its like the car was my horse-thing on Pandora…and redoing the SIM card is like rebooking into the horse-thing’s ear-thing…at least that’s how I understood the humor.

I’ll standby while you ROFLOL.
