Well doh. No orange construction cones is a clue.

Ummm
. I’m probably going to feel stupid when you tell me, but no bells are ringing.
Flight aware tells me you were at Sunken Lunken today though.![]()
You probably more often go to Teterboro, but those towers are like the nest where they park the GA planes at LaGuardia…
Ah, yes, TEB is where we usually go when visiting New York.
My 2 Youngest kids, and a couple of our RC Stadium Trucks . One of my plethora of way to expensive hobbies.
Off to get a Corona…? (Not the beer)
Which texture mod is this?
That old warhorse looks to be in sad shape ![]()
But if it’s anything like @BeachAV8R’s vorpX warnings, we CAN climb on the aircraft, so there’s that. ![]()
Heard an interesting event on the flight home tonight. We were up at FL390 and heard a Southwest plane experiencing pressurization problems. You could hear the pilots with O2 masks on asking for a quick descent. Track log shows them coming down at 5,000FPM for some of the descent. From FL400 to 10,000’ in about six minutes.
I know that they HAVE to use that rate of descent in such a situation , only so much oxygen and depending on number of souls on board , this is the major factor in rapidity and steepness of the cliff dive to under 10,000 .
Still when you think about it , dropping any where near the vicinity of 5,000fpm is roughly 80 feet per second, that is 2/3 as fast as you could go if you just jumped out of the thing with no chute.
Split-S, pop the boards and down Ivan goes, is much easy in MiG of worker’s party, da? ![]()
@smokinhole might be able to provide some insight on the B737 - I had heard that it was kind of slippery and the spoilers weren’t ultra effective…but 5,000 FPM is pretty good.
Had a little flight with my boy this morning…
All was good until the turbulence and wind got the better of him. Had to expedite a hasty retreat and break out the bucket and sponge after landing…![]()
Poor little buddy
