Those are cool. I wish that I could use em in one of my future projects 
Regarding the Tomcat throtles. It seems to be perfect candidate for DIY dual throtles. As I see it it is somewhere between the old-school throtles from lets say century fighters and more modern ones like A10, F18, F15.
