A Complete Cockpit in the Palm of YOUR Hands! ECHO Aviation Controller

I want one!

@schurem and I got to try one at flightsimfest. Conclusion: quite nifty. Would be great if you wanted to sim while traveling. But in my honest opinion this will never replace anything you have at home, simply because the level of control does not compare to anything you can do with a HOTAS.

Yeah if I had no room in a suitcase for my HOTAS One I’d maybe look into this, but overall it’s good for those who don’t have room or whatnot in their place. But then again I’d have to see how it handled with helis anyway.

I’m seriously considering getting one for when I’m on the road.

This would be a great controller for Xbox or PS5. Not sure on PC though. Traveling i guess.

Seems like a missed opportunity by not having it for console

seems like missed opportunity with the right-handed version

While I agree that a gamepad can’t compare with the fidelity of a long-throw HOTAS, I would argue that the difference isn’t as significant as some might claim. Anyone who’s flown RC or has watched top-tier 3D competitors knows that your thumbs are pretty good.

I’ve found helicopters to be especially well matched to my decent quality gamepad. As long as I stay close to center, ie: in trim, the precision is 90% there. Airplanes are harder. For the MSFS Pitts (which models an airplane I’ve owned for 14 years) I would crash it every flight if I didn’t make some changes. I put in extreme deadzones (the edges of the throw rather than the center) and can handle it pretty well. I’ve learned that, at least for me, curves create more problems than they solve.

The RC comparison is why I would not buy this controller, as much as I applaud what it offers. For consistency I want my right thumb to do the flying and my left, the throttling/collectiving.
