A400M - software glitch?

This could be problematic. Airbus is investigating a possible software glitch that might have somehow contributed to the fatal A400M crash a few weeks back. That is a bit of a nightmare scenario if the engines were doing something that the pilots had not commanded.

I wonder how much of the software is reused between airframes, as in how ‘new’ a lot of these issues are. I am so glad not to be involved in flight control systems - that sounds pretty stressful with lives on the line…
