It was a perfect service. To quote a line from Blade Runner - “The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long. And you have burned so very, very brightly”. Seems very appropriate for Ace.

The best part of it was just after the service ended, all of us (350+ people!) milling around outside, the local flying club that Ace flew with did a formation fly-over and did a missing man. So moving. Just perfect.

I don’t drink. I’m a near absolute teetotaler.
But, I’m tipping back a Modelo for him. You were such a solid dude, Ace. We’re going to miss you, so much.
That’s the send off any pilot, be it Cessna enthusiast all the way up to Raptor jockey, really wants.
