Searching “IL2” yields nothing. Sorry. Since I started using VD last month I’ve noticed real improvement across all sims. But I hadn’t tried IL2:Bo? until today. SteamVR keeps running automatically and then locks up on the mission loading screen. I have Virtual Desktop designated as my OpenXR driver, portal, app, thingy, whateveritscalled. But SteamVR simply insists on ruining the party. Anyone here running IL2 in VR without Steam feeling the need to butt in? Or is IL2 incompatible with VD? Thanks!
I wasn’t getting the lock up you mentioned, but it was automatically starting SteamVR. I was also getting a persistent slow down. Frames would be high for 3-4 seconds, then I’d get a 1 second slow down, that constantly repeated. Rolled back my NVidia drovers but haven’t had a chance to experiment further.
I used to avoid SteamVR by activating Il-2 from within the Meta app itself.

Last time I tried IL2 GB with virtual desktop, which admittedly has been awhile, I had to resort to using open composite to use openxr with virtual desktop. I actually had better results letting virtual desktop use the steamvr protocol by selecting the steamvr option in the PC-side streamer app when running IL2.
