Aginor's weird NFL thread

Yet, the Cowboys first TD drive looked pretty easy. I think that the next offensive series will be really important if the Niners want to keep momentum.

Aaand that’s it. Welp.
The 49ers deserve it.

Edit: Wait…

Edit2: now it is. Sad that it ended so anticlimatic.
But the result is OK.

Awww yeah

Wow. That 4th quarter… and then the last 2 minutes. Then the final minute!!!

Yeah it was definitely a thrilling game, even though I am of course disappointed in the Cowboys.

I hate the game ended that way, but with the massive amount of penalties the cowboys had it’s kinda fitting. Kudos for them staying in it. If Bosa hadn’t gotten hurt, I dont think it would have been that close of a game.

That’s as good as an explanation as anything.

I have no clue what they were trying to do there. There was not nearly enough time for anything except a medium pass to the sideline.

Either Kellen Moore (which would be weird as he is doing a pretty great job) or Dak Prescott had a complete brain fart there.

…or maybe this was one of McCarthy’s typical BS calls. Green Bay fans know what I mean.

Yeah, when Prescott took off I thought good move, but you are going to slant toward the sideline, right? Not. I played fullback in high school, remember having tunnel vision for the goal line a few times, and being really surprised when I didn’t get there. I guess there were also times when there wasn’t a hole, and you just kept running, banging off people, and ended up in the endzone.

As professionals, we expect NFL players to have perfect field sense and situational awareness. But it happens so fast, that I bet even pros occasionally find themselves in reactive mode.

 Jomboy is mostly a baseball guy, but he does a good entertaining breakdown of the final 2 minutes. (yeah he made a math error at the beginning. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: )

Lots of memes coming out of the wild card games. I’d post more, but it might be “too soon”.

If Dak had taken 3-4 steps up field to get the first down, and then they spike the ball, they’d have probably had 1-2 chances to hail mary it into the end zone. Reasonable

If Dak had decided to simply head for the end zone (or run some hook and ladder type play, whatever) it gives them a chance to win it. Probably not my play call, but still an option.

What they ended up with was an abomination with the problems of both, and the benefits of neither. Not sure who’s call in the end it was, but it was not a good one. With SF pushing coverage to the sidelines, I’d have personally called a hail mary and seen if it was the Cowboys turn for an “immaculate reception”.

This Bengals-Titans game turns out more interesting than I thought.

Good to the wire finish. Started watching halfway through the 3rd quarter, good game.

Poor Tannihil. Once a Dolphin, always a Dolphin it seems…

I was living in S. Florida the last time the Bengals were this good (1988 superbowl) and remember while Montana was toasting the Bengals, Liberty City was being set on fire down Miami way. Times haven’t changed much it seems.

That Packers 49ers game… :cold_face::cold_face::cold_face:

Props to both defenses for keeping that game as close as it was. Each team really should have been able to walk away at different points in the game, but the opposing defense didn’t let it happen.

The Packers really should have had that game nailed shut with how lackluster the SF offense was in the first half. Flip side, GB could have very easily been down a score or two out of the gate in the second half, but managed to hold it together. Obviously GB’s special teams cost them the game, but IMO the offense wasn’t giving them much breathing room.

I just watched the summary on YT (it was too late last night for me to watch it live) and I have to say that I feel a bit better about the Cowboys losing to the 49ers after seeing how Aaron Rodgers and his offense struggled against them.

A low scoring game but quite some action in there.
I love to see sacks and interceptions as much as touchdowns.

What a crazy game!
I mean, come on: That’s scripted, like the WWE or something, isn’t it?

The Rams/Bucs game was made for tv, right? Year of the underdogs

Yeah it was surreal.
The GOAT approaching, almost making it, but in the end two great passes and the kicker save the day.

The KC-Buffalo game was crazy too.

I watched the GB-SF game yesterday and both of them today. I kept going “what is going on here???”

As a fan of the Detroit Lions, I don’t get to see much good football, so it was quite a treat to actually watch exciting football.
