Aginor's weird NFL thread

Huh? Were there riots or something?
I am not in the US so I don’t know what was in the news over there.

pretty much

Some people are just idiots.

I am used to that because that’s how soccer hooligans work over here, but afaik it is rather uncommon among NFL fans. Really sad, it is just a game after all.

College sports is where all our sports riots happen in the US. Occasionally we have one for the championship team (which always seemed backwards to me) if it’s been forever since they won the championship (looking at you Boston…)

WHAT??? Why would they have both games at the same time?

If you are referring to today’s conference championship games, they’re not. On same day, but separated by about 4hrs.

More importantly, the Dolphins have stated they ARE NOT interested in Tom Brady!
Thank God.

My Bad I was watching Bengals - Chiefs believing it was live. After you correcting me I checked and it’s a 12/04/22 repeat.

How is this the #1 Defense in the league, the mental mistakes are astounding.

IMO that defense didn’t even play that badly for most of the game, the Eagles were just very good, AND the SF offense has major problems.

In the second half the SF defense was just too much on the field, because the offense couldn’t stay on the field. They are tired now.

I’d also like to add that I am glad that Jalen Hurts can play football, because he sure couldn’t make any money with singing.

FLY EAGLES FLY lmao…

Well, if Philly going to the Super Bowl doesn’t bring BeachAV8R out of the cold nothing will.

Jalen Hurts does not need to ever sing again, that being said.

The 49’s seemed to be trying to goon it up with late or dirty plays the last 10 minutes of the game.

They fished Philly into a retaliation penalty twice, after that, philly just let them go and they got busted over and over again.

Got me wondering if their #1 defense was simply because they had a weaker schedule.

As much as everyone wants to believe the magic that they rode a 2nd then 3rd string WB to 13 straight wins…

THANKS @piper I am now watching the right game.

Purdy got knocked out early on and it was over, offense/scoring wise. You could never expect the 4th string Josh Johnson to just step on the biggest stage of his career and drive down the field. The rest of the “happenings” was just fluff. The Eagles knew the 49ers would run the ball. Then Johnson gets knocked out and Purdy was only back to just hand off the ball and make a couple of weak throws. The Eagles won, but shouldn’t be too excited beating a team without a QB.

Lets be honest, the most exciting part of the game was at the end when Trent Williams stood up for his teammates and body slammed the Eagles’ Wallace. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Umm their 2nd string quarterback has been to the Superbowl and the NFC championship twice, he would have been the starter a lot of other places (and maybe should have been in SF). Their third string went 8-0. You can call it a weak schedule all you like, but the reality is very few teams would have managed to run up an even season, let alone a winning season with their 2nd string under center, let alone their 3rd string.

Yes their D collapsed eventually, after having to shoulder any chance of victory from almost the first series. That was inevitable, without the offense able to generate anything there was no way the defense could get rested enough to perform well at a certain point.

Whhhoooo???

Well, I thought there were a lot of home town calls going for Kansas City, but the hit out of bounds killed the Bengals chances.

Gotta go with Philly in the Super Bowl.
A Cheesesteak trumps KC BBQ any day.

Watching the Pro Bowl.

Good fun.

I like the Flag Football better than what we saw in previous years, which was basically half-assed normal football most of the time.

Sooo… I heard that there is some Football game today (technically 0:30AM tomorrow in my time zone, but let’s ignore that).

My wife got a snack helmet, an NFL hoodie, enough beer to drown a mule, and a metric ton of snacks. I also took the day off tomorrow.

Now I only have to choose a team to root for…
We will see.
