There was a guy in my division in boot camp who was from Walla Walla. Very strange dude- he used to sing themes from anime to himself, in the original Japanese.
He got picked up for the Academy when we were in a-school- I wonder what ever happened to him…
I can only sympathise, because until recently I was in the same position. maybe consider the SD version. It is a lot smaller and visually it isn’t all that much different.
Ah… sorry, I missed that little detail. The HD version is almost 54 Gb (I’m still downloading). I think once unpacked it is pretty much going to max out my current HDD that I am using for scenery (and some games). I might have to uninstall some of the unused games, at least until I add some more capacity.
Big files for sure, I think I need more space soon. The 43 Gb one I downloaded is Washington, that is…my first and so far only Orbx scenery…but I fear they might be addictive!
I wanted to ask about that. How different are the SD and HD versions? Asking because of both hardware and storage considerations, and I really only want to buy scenery once if I’m going to buy it.
I think the SD version IS included with the HD version if you buy it…but you do not get the HD version if you buy the SD version. I could be wrong on that though.
I think I went ahead and got HDs for all the areas. That said, I did have a bit of an internal debate over it. For me the HD vs SD question came down to how I thought I’d end up flying…not just now but in a year or so. Presently I like bigger planes and “flying from here to there” routes so SD is just fine. But………if I start getting into smaller planes and site seeing? Then I might regret not getting the HD.
LOL…no no…you make them sound like drug dealers! If it were like that, they would offer you your first “hit” at a discount to get you hooked and then…hey…wait a minute…
