Air Hauler 2 for X-Plane discussion thread

There was a guy in my division in boot camp who was from Walla Walla. Very strange dude- he used to sing themes from anime to himself, in the original Japanese.

He got picked up for the Academy when we were in a-school- I wonder what ever happened to him…

His name wasn’t Don was it? The timing doesn’t feel right but…

Make sure the runway can fit my MD-11. I’ll bring some smaller planes in the hold.

Check out the X-Plane releases thread. AirFoilLabs has a new CH-47 inbound and VSkyLabs is working on upgrades to it’s DC-3/CH-47 product.

Are they watching Mudspike and anticipating our AH2XP needs in the next few months???

Why do all my DC-3s have bullet holes in them?

For a minute there my mind misread CH-47 and I thought that there can’t be a fourth C-47 coming, could there?

A CH-47 would be very cool! I think that I read somewhere that there is a Kamov coming as well?

Well, that was convenient! Washington state 30% off!

Think I need this. Dang, at 43 Gb download, at 1Gb per hour on my connection…hope they have a disk option.

I can only sympathise, because until recently I was in the same position. maybe consider the SD version. It is a lot smaller and visually it isn’t all that much different.

I’m afraid the 43gb file is the SD version…at least that’s what I bought and just finished downloading! So I assume the HD one is even bigger! :exploding_head:

Ah… sorry, I missed that little detail. The HD version is almost 54 Gb (I’m still downloading). I think once unpacked it is pretty much going to max out my current HDD that I am using for scenery (and some games). I might have to uninstall some of the unused games, at least until I add some more capacity.

Big files for sure, I think I need more space soon. The 43 Gb one I downloaded is Washington, that is…my first and so far only Orbx scenery…but I fear they might be addictive!

I wanted to ask about that. How different are the SD and HD versions? Asking because of both hardware and storage considerations, and I really only want to buy scenery once if I’m going to buy it.

I think the SD version IS included with the HD version if you buy it…but you do not get the HD version if you buy the SD version. I could be wrong on that though.

I think I went ahead and got HDs for all the areas. That said, I did have a bit of an internal debate over it. For me the HD vs SD question came down to how I thought I’d end up flying…not just now but in a year or so. Presently I like bigger planes and “flying from here to there” routes so SD is just fine. But………if I start getting into smaller planes and site seeing? Then I might regret not getting the HD.

…plus the US $ is strong against the AUD so…

Yes…it always nice to see that conversion happen in the shopping cart…

Indeed it can. OrbX have also released quite a few airports for the Washington and Oregon areas. Fortunately they have really good sales quite often.

LOL…no no…you make them sound like drug dealers! If it were like that, they would offer you your first “hit” at a discount to get you hooked and then…hey…wait a minute… :open_mouth:
