Oh yes, I’m getting it as well. No doubt. But if I could chose…
I do too!
The C-130 could use many of the other shortfields but Honningsvåg is too tight.
We operate the Dash8 in and out of there, but I wouldn’t go there in anything larger than that.
I’d love to see that. The guys behind the Kola Map do have plans to keep working on the map for the forseeable future and they’ve been pretty good at pushing out updates every 4months or so for the most part.
They’ve had two giveaways on the 4YA discord, one of which I was able to attend about halfway through, where they’ve done a Q&A and talked about future plans. All in all it did sound very promising. It includes plans to rework the summertextures and some of the winter textures as well as including more and more towns and some of the smaller airports as time goes on. Some of the towns that are yet to come already have the road network in place for example.
There’s some reading material to compute/program computed air release points (CARP) for accurate delivery of paratroopers and materials. Hope it helps.
I’m curious why they chose the J instead of something more mainstream/exported that fits the timelines of our other modules and terrains better like the non-Super Herc. Fancy sensors and more variety of subvariants?
Probably because there’s no driving force behind DCS module development and this started out as a passion-project mod that made it to the big-time and got approved as an official module.
