Good news for B450 and X470 mobo owners … a nice upgrade path to Ryzen 4000 series processors!
At first the only reason AMD resisted is because of the 16 MB limitation on their bios chips and the fact that 400 series mobos were supporting Ryzen 1000 – 3000 CPUs. I guess it didn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that you can have two versions of a bios … one for, lets say, Ryzen 1000/2000s and another for 3000/4000s!
I had to take another look at my mobo box and was relieved when I saw X570. I bought it a year ago and to tell you the truth, I thought my CPU support was going to end at X3950! I was pretty relieved.
