Just read this about a guy from India becoming the youngest ever world chess champion. I used to play chess a LOT during my teenage and college years but then I discovered PC gaming…

I play a bit, making sure my kids know how to play and not suck too much. It’s an important game to know imo, like judo, dodgeball and poker.

I haven’t played for a while. I guess my lack of enjoyment for the game comes from the regular thrashings I had playing against my brother, who is insanely good… If I managed to take more than one of his pawns I considered it a decent game on my part.

Last time I played Chess was in the late 1990’s when it came as one of the bundled games on my desktop. I was so bad even on the basic setting I was getting my rear handed to me. I never won a single game.

I had the Star Wars chess game for Windows 3.1.1 that I loved to play way back in the dark ages!
