Hahhahaha, dunnop about pretty but damn loud for sure. And tall, when they sit on the Landing Gear at the apron they look like on stilts.
A pleasure to work under them as Ground crew- or so I’m told.
The F-104 guys were just a bunch of broken knees.

That’s just basic flight dynamics in a statically stable aircraft without automatic trim or a full-blown digital FCS.
If you let go of the stick after giving a pitch input while the aircraft is still experiencing its transient response to your control input then all you’ve really done is induced a disturbance. The aerodynamic forces on the aircraft are going to push it back towards straight and level flight.
