(wild guess) A Fairey Firefly II?

Note the size of the pilots head is freaking me out, like look at the wheels then compare that to the size of the pilot, that plane is HUGE.

It’s not a Fairey design. The overall dimensions of the aircraft are comparable to the Fairey Swordfish though. The small size of the pilot’s head might be a camera angle thing.

Could it possibly be a Hawker demon, Audat or Hind?

Sorry, but no, no, and no…

It does look like a Hawker design though. A Hawker Hardy or so. They had loads of different designations for all those planes developed from the Hart/Audax

Not a Hawker design but it is British. Hmm. Another hint maybe… Look at how sturdy the landing gear is. Kinda Swordfish like. Why did the Swordfish need such sturdy gear?

Perhaps a Blackburn Ripon Torpedo bomber?

In case I am right I got a very unique challenge! Who can tell me what aircraft this is based on the rather unique sound it makes?

Now that’s a good one… I like it :smiling_imp:
McDonnell Douglas F-18C?

Sounds like both a jet and prop. B36?

Avro Vulcan?

Not a Hornet. Thunderscreech?

That is clearly the sound my car used to make when I used to deliver for Domino’s Pizza in the late 80’s. (30 min guarantee!)

Beach came close but it has not been guessed yet! I’ll drop a hint. This jet is part of one of the two first generations of jet fighters! And no it is not a hybrid lol :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I heard a Gloster Meteor fly at Duxford once that sounded a bit like that.

Very close, Paul! But not quite yet!

Vampire?

I want to guess a Me 262 - I think I recall those Jumo’s made an interesting sound…
