I don’t own any of their products nor own this product at this stage but I read it uses Echo 19 sounds for the Merlins. I’ll be getting this soon and will give my impressions when I can do so.
they have list of INNOVATIVE FEATURES on the product page . the devs are funny , most of the listed features are innovative to whom !? to them maybe !?
but… seems reasonably priced with all the stations modeled , ECHO19 sounds and the authentic engine start and management .
Aeroplane Heaven states that the Lancaster is built natively for MSFS 2020. It has been tested in MSFS 2024 and functions as expected, but the developer advises against purchasing it specifically as a 2024 product. They suggest a native MSFS 2024 version may come in the future.
Fortunately, my FS2020 install is alive, well, and recently updated, so that I can fly a substantial aircraft investment. Without question, I’m spending $35 just to climb around the damned thing in VR, much less to fly this magnificent beast. What a fantastic looking living and breathing piece of WW2 history.
Time to reconfigure that Beta throttle quadrant for four engine operation.
We need a war bird fly-in with the Flying Iron Spitfire.
twotonemurphy live stream on now. FS2024 and FS2020.
Although it is a 2020 aircraft, they are saying it works just fine with 2024. You will just be missing some of 2024’s new features, which I guess means the walkaround and it won’t be part of the campaign. For free flight, it should be fine.
Yeah, the stream was very cool. I tried to get her downloaded and installed before it ended, but got stuck trying to find the parking brake, which of course is on the left side of the yoke. Daoh! The default keyboard bind wasn’t working. But once you put a curve on the pitch axis, she flies like a big kitten. So graceful. I left my SEL axis setup in place for the short term, controlling power, prop pitch, and mixture for all four Merlins with a single lever each and it worked fine. The sound is amazing!!
Good Paul. Need to look for that. I found that programming a button for Cabin Lights and Flashlight works. The L key operates the nav lights on the wingtips and tail. Not sure about the panel.
