I just saw the newly dropped trailer:
I wonder how good it will be, I have been deeply in love with 2 and 3. 4 was good but the others couldn’t quite scratch all the itches. The destruction looks over the top.

It reminds me of BC1. Absolutely glorious
I’m excited about this one. The latest releases did not engage me, perhaps because of the settings.
I really enjoyed 2043. The bot mode was wonderful.
It won’t load now though.
For me the best was battlefield 2 that was.the first real taste of multiplayer gaming I did …sniping people out of jeeps with a Barrett … glorious days, and that theme tune never gets old
OK, NGL this video was pretty awesome.
EDIT : I recognized “Break Stuff” from the first shred.
they seem to start pumping out the vids now. I like that we’re going back to the good ol’ engineer, assault, support and recon classes. Looks like all the healing and reviving has gone back to support which was that way in BC2 last I remember.
Boy they learned how to sell this stuff
I’ll hand it to them the TTK seems short enough to makes me want to try it.
I expect battles to be a little less frantic than this video but not less exciting.
Damn, am I actually excited for a main line BattleFierd game. B***h I might!
I’m still annoyed at them for heavily hyping the classic modes in the most recent game and then largely not supporting them…
Download is available on steam for those who would like to try the game for free the coming the weekend.
How do the Battlefield titles work with regard to online servers? All official servers or can you create a private server where you don’t have to compete with foul mouthed 13 year olds with reflexes like cats? 53 year old me can’t cope with that!
In the past, it was official servers and 3rd party hosted servers. It was not possible to host anything yourself but if you felt like it, you could rent a server from a number of host companies. There’s quite a possibility that you will find a server with a crowd and ruleset that you find to your liking. As for the 13 year olds, I learned to mute anything voice with strangers a long time ago, and youngsters can often easily be beaten by playing a bit more tactical than they do. Finding a nice spot to go prone with a machinegun to support friendlies has been a great way to score points without the fastest reaction times for me
I just installed it and it’s already giving me anti-cheat headaches It wants certain settings be set in a specific way in the BIOS.
edit: Sorted out the anti-cheat stuff
This is what killed 2043 for me. I’m not doing that for a game. We loved that game as well
Don’t shoot me, I’m just the messenger. But here it comes…
If you link your twitch and EA accounts, and then watch at least 30 minutes of Battlefield 6 streams on august the 7th, you should be granted an early-access key allowing you to play battlefield 6 starting on thursday instead of saturday this week.
Not a fan of systems like this but might be worth it for some.
A firing range has come online to allow you to test-fire the weapons. This seems based on your unlocks so there’s not much choice other than the default weapon for each class.
I heard that the anti-cheat they use isn’t compatible with wine/proton. Not surprisong in an EA offering, but still a **** move.
