Beautiful 1920s/30s Art-Deco Airports: Croydon, UK, World’s First

Croydon Airport, London, UK (1920-59) was the 1st of the world’s beautiful Art-Deco airports from the 1920s/30s “Golden Years of Aviation”. It was the 1st airport with ATC & the 1st in other ways as well. Come see its history, including a 1930s version in MSFS. If enough Views & Likes, I will cover more of these beautiful Art-Deco airports in the UK, Europe & the USA. Hope you enjoy. Cheers. Note: The text words in this video are all mine. I use an Aussie AI voice (because I am an Aussie) for those who wish to listen as well as look.

I’ve been to a wedding reception at the terminal building, it’s a fabulous structure inside and out.

This is the inside (not my picture). The aircraft hanging from the ceiling adds a sense of awe.

Naming the aircraft wins you the nachos*

I shall call him… Kevin.

Art Deco is my favourite architectural style. I have often said to the wife ‘if we ever win the lottery and can design and build our dream home, it will be art deco’.
