Never really tried the 109 in the ground attack role before.
I know they had the E-7/U2 variant, but does anyone know if it was used alot with success in the war?

Define “a lot of success”. The side employing the Me-109 wasn’t exactly successful in that war so…I’m thinking not so much.
I have been told that the 190 took over the role from the 109 for ground attacks just wondering why that was
Mainly because the BF-109 wasn’t very successful in it. It couldn’t carry a lot of bombs and the guns were weak (at least in early models).
The FW-190 was much better in that regard.
