Mrs. Stormy got me a beautiful new CLS-E NG for Christmas, but they sent me a european plug. Anyone have ideas for a us replacement that wont void my warranty?
I thought about just buying an adapter, but I wasn’t sure if that would work long term. I’m open to reasonable ideas.
FYI- I’ve got an email in to the sales team and a ticket open, but they’re closed through 3 January and I’m feeling impatient.
I guess the question is, how is it powered? 115/240 brick with a pc type power cord, or maybe a 12v dc input?
If you pull the cable that goes between the wall and the power brick out of the power brick what does the end look like?
It should work - the power brick indicates it’ll accept both 120V 60Hz and 230V 50Hz…

Input is 100-240v so you should be just fine swapping the cord. In fact I would go as far as saying that Brunner’s fix would probably be nothing more than sending you a new cord with a US style plug.

For a mains AC output to a DC convertor ‘brick’, if you have a spare 3 pin PC cable I’d say go for it. Perhaps check it has an earth, you would be surprised at the number of ‘3 pin’ cables/plugs I have dismantled that only had + and - wire.
I agree 100% w this. Just get a new cord. Easy fix
Have a cord on order and found a converter/adapter in our travel equipment for the short term. I love this yoke! It makes such a difference over spring loaded yokes.
