Cars and Trucks

Sorry for the resurrection but I found a picture of a car I always wanted and… and I still want it.

Like, I’m down BAD… Mustang Boss 302

I’d give almost anything for this.
I’d refuse a chance to fly the A-6 Intruder for this car.

Siiiiigh

Sorry, interruption’s over. Carry on.

No arguements here. I have a list of 14 cars that if money was no object I would own. 302 is on the list

Particularly if I was still working patrol. I almost applied to DPS just to drive one of these, but they had started phasing them out by that point. Though I’m not gonna lie when the Chargers rolled out that almost got me to change agencies.

I’d way rather drive @Victork2’s new rig for an hour.

Ooh hello, beautiful. Looks like a '70, from the headlights.

There’s a reason this is in the top three of most desirable/ valuable Mustang models out there (last I checked, anyway).

I hope it’s ok to resurrect this- I have a problem. My car failed the inspection because the cover of my headlights are too matted up by age/plastic behaviour.

I literally don’t have the money they asked to replace them so I am only left with the option of try and clean them up.

I have a good deadline, 4 weeks, but I need concrete expertise on how to treat these headlights. I don’t trust in quick google seraches like “5 minutes craft - use herbicide/toothpaste”.

Please let me know what would you do.

I would think any polishing compound would be good for that, as you have put, toothpaste is a mild abrasive, you could try it in a small spot and see if it makes a difference, there is a product available uk which is designed for headlights

I used something similar on a fogged headlight on my Mini and it worked great.

The wife used Flitz Metal polish a while back to do the headlights on her car which were plastic as well. Worked extremely well.

Check Paragraf 22a Absatz 7 der Straßenverkehrs-Zulassungs-Ordnung (StVZO).

You‘re not supposed to do this, which probably is one of the more german things in life. Polishing might make the part lose it‘s approval.

Don‘t shoot the messenger, please. :slightly_frowning_face:

I understand. My car is worth a 1000EUR at best and two new headlights would cost me 500EUR which I don’t even have to begin with.

You can see the pickle I’m in.

Get cheap headlights from aliexpress. 25 bux and you’re sorted.

This seems an appropriate spot…

I’m guessing the back half of that F250 was already trashed? Otherwise that is a heck of a waste to make what looks like some kind of boat launching rig when a trailer would have done the job.

Good guess. But not quite.

Ahhh, just noticed the logo on the door…

Something to do with winch launching gliders then?

Is it a poor man’s/home brewed pushback tug?
