Case III Recovery w/ Vaicom Pro for VoiceAttack

Do you guys think the expansion for the supercarrier is worth the money? Also do you have the RIO addon too? I missed the bundle when I went to buy it

Did not yet try the airio but yes, that $3.50 was well spent for the atc. It fits nicely in the comms as laid out in the sc manual for all case recoveries if you want to go all the way.

I’m just dreaming of the day when I can say, ā€œIntruder Ballā€.

I picked up that and the Rio expansion. Should keep me busy

@schurem you should persevere with vaicom it’s awesome when you get the hang of it. Granted I have done the speech recognition dance 3 times and used the editor to perfect the calls. I even renamed my Jester to Jim as its easier to say. I can talk to wingmen, awacs and Tower and even with the atc add on use proper comms for the supercarrier

I’ll second what @Cib said. It can be a bit of a process to get it all going; I just bought the AIRIO and ATC extension - I’d forgotten that it isn’t exactly ā€˜plug and play’. I say I’d ā€œforgottenā€ cuzz it has been working flawlessly for over a year, maybe two.

It’s like third on my list of ā€œThings I can’t live withoutā€ when flight-simming.

AIRIO for instance: I’m having to be very clear in my pronunciation as I did a ways back - it probably hasn’t learned those phrases quite as well yet. I think this is a Window Speech Recog. issue though and not VAICOM/Voice-Attack.

It still seems to do better than my wife’s car
And it’s funny how long CS dudes have been working on this. The first time I saw this [trying to be] used was in the late 80’s, for a training simulator at my work. It kinda worked then, and it mostly works now.

Enjoy
