Challenger 650 crash, 2026-01-26, Bangor, Maine

Seems that it crashed on takeoff.

Registration N10KJ, a Challenger 650, belongs to Arnold and Itkin Law Firm in Houston, TX.

Apparently 6 or 8 people on board, I have conflicting information whether two of them survived or not. Hoping for the best but looks grim.

The plane apparently flipped over and there was a huge fire, people say.

Edit: the huge fire makes sense, people say that it was on its way to Paris, so fully loaded with fuel.

I know @PaulRix is Challenger typed and is in the Houston area…I know which company he works for..but it would still be nice to hear from him as I know some people do contract work on the side. :frowning:

Checking in. I’m good. Thanks for your concern guys.

It does hit close to home. Back when I was flying the Challenger 604 I stopped at Bangor a number of times before heading across the Atlantic. They would have been heavy, probably close to MGTOW. The weather wasn’t great, but not crazy bad, and it looks like they did de-ice prior to takeoff.
