Cheap monitor

Hi guys, bad news.
My central monitor went up last night.
Loud pop and black screen.

It was with me since 2010 or something so… Honor to it, it lasted.

But now I need a replacement fast.
Main point I am really really strapped for cash.

Can anyone point at a personal experience with 1080p monitor? Something at around 90/100 eur

I can imagine more than a few thinking… You had 3 monitor, you still have two, why waste cash on another?

Good question. My work flow in Photoshop and pixel art sorta kinda needs that.
Is it mandatory? Well actually no, so maybe I shouldn’t waste money.

I think it’s simply my autism being triggered.

Maybe I shouldn’t waste money I don’t have…

What are you willing to compromise? Any feature set you definitely need?

I can’t really ask for anything special. I couldn’t afford it.
At least 1080p. At least 4ms.
Good panel so I can get a realistic color representation.

23 inches.

Any local computer shows that swing through your area? Back in the day the shows that I went to often had great deals on used or refurbished monitors if you weren’t looking for top of the line.

I would go with HP/Dell/Fujitsu/Lenovo.

Some brand that sells a ton of office equipment to the world every day.

Random example: HP Series 5 524sw

I’ve gotten some great deals in recent years on lightly used monitors via marktplaats. I think Ebay kleinanzeigen is the marketplace of choice in Germany, see if there’s any on sale in your town or close to your commute route.

Honestly, almost every 1080p monitor from the past 5 years fulfills those requirements

Be sure to check places like ebay…providing you purchase from a proven seller who takes returns.

What impresses me the most is how I can push exactly the same details as with the 1080p monitor for no FPS loss.
Admittedly I do have a sorta-beefy card (3070Ti) but nevertheless I am so pleasantly surprised.

Of course this meant now my PC PSU main fan is starting to make a weird rattling noise.
