First rule of short field landing, land as close to the beginning of the runway as possible. Nobody ever said you have to land on the far side of the beginning.

Haha…we all do that. When one of my PT-6 engines blew apart, threw chunks of the compressor all around the engine cowl, froze the prop, and caught on fire - it was written up (by me) as “uncommanded right engine shutdown”…

Many decades ago a sage old flight instructor, advising me on how to handle a ramp check, suggested the “less is better” communication method when dealing with the FAA.

Apparently a narco plane that was impounded being flown out of where it was found…um…no, don’t sign me up for that thank you. Might be the DC-6 pilot from the above video?

If that mission isn’t in a bush pilot addon/sim I’m not interested. That’s pretty crazy.
