Comet NEOWISE

Hope the sky clears up around here.

I’ve been hoping to catch a glimpse of it but by the time it starts to get dark enough to see it here, it’s low enough on the horizon to be obscured by all the smoke from the fires in the west.

I was worried it would be very low from here (Nottingham UK c53 N) but it was suprisingly high in a nearly dark sky at 10:30 pm
Not too hard to find by extending a diagonal from the “top left” to “bottom right” stars of the big dipper…
Naked Eye from a rural location I drove to (Sunday) easy find with Binoculars (as I knew where it was) from pretty bright Suburban skies
I believe it’ll get fainter over the coming nights…so now might be the time to look (weather permitting)
