Cool stuff...for nerds like us

I found this little gem, at an ebay auction.

The Fighter Collection Indian logo caught my attention.

It’s a letter commemorating the Dowding Memorial in 1988, signed by Air Vice Marshal Henry Algernon Vickers Hogan DFC.
Hogan commanded 501 Squadron at Croydon, during the Battle of Britain.

This letter was one of ten, carried onboard the restoration test flight of Hawker Hurricane G-HURI in 1989, flown by Stephen Grey, owner of the Fighter Collection and father of Nick Grey, which should be a familiar name for fans of DCS. Maybe you could show him this, @NineLine

That is seriously cool! Great find dude! I have a signed photo of the BBMF Lancaster and crew from 1995 but this is something really special.

It makes me wonder about all the history that is hiding away in drawers and cupboards

I like the “carried onboard the restoration test flight of Hawker Hurricane G-HURI in 1989” part. For me that makes things really special.
