Forgot to hit the record button on the Garmin until we were a couple of miles out of Pittsburgh…so I think it was better than 60 miles…

That’s a century equivalent if you factor in all the extra weight—maybe more. Nice going you two!

Watch out for the slick leaves.

But this trip looks epic! Enjoy!!!

It was a beautiful day out on Peavine Peak - set several PR’s descending, and had a couple of close calls on the Xert fitness breakthroughs as well.

I should be prime for some flying tomorrow AM in Hollo Pointe - I get to try out my new stick!

Fueling up for Day 2…a lot less mileage today will take us through Ohiopyle. Weather looking kind of grim with lots of rain, mid 40s temps…but tomorrow is the wildcard with snow and upper 20s forecast…

Is it just me or does this remind you of the Monty Python episode, “Cycling Tour”…I keep waiting for the Soviets to show up.

31 miles…an easy day. Rained the whole day but the trail conditions were great. Temps were low 40s…so chilly. Tonight we might see mid 20s…so conditions tomorrow could be interesting.

Nice 34.5 mile ride today from Confluence to Meyersdale. Very cold all day…24-29F with some light flurries. We were dressed for it though and were careful on the bridges. Dropped into Rockwood for a couple beers and a burger and ended up at an awesome B&B in Meyersdale…

Only real mechanical issue of the day was that, unbeknownst to me, a screw had fallen out of my right cleat. So when I twisted my foot to unclip, the whole cleat swiveled…LOL…which is interesting when you fully expect your foot to come out!

Bombed down from the Eastern Continental Divide into Cumberland, MD this morning and put the GAP trail (Great Allegheny Passage) behind us after lunch. Then started on the C&O Canal towpath trail… Put 61 miles down and limped into Paw Paw, MD…

This is so much fun to watch…We really need this in real time…some sort of GPS tracking combined with video feed…and maybe a Yelp function that allows us to rate the hotels and restaurants…just a thought.
