DCS 2.5 Update Thread (2020)

Very much looking forward to that!
I’m not much for warbirds otherwise, but I’ve always had a thing for the Mossie.
I do wonder though, if a proper throttle quadrant might be a needed for it? Is there any reasonably priced, dual engine quadrants out there?

Well, I guess a couple of the Saitek units would work…or if you want to push the boat out a bit, the Honeycomb Bravo maybe?

Oh, that Honeycomb Bravo unit looks like a nice bit of kit! And with trim wheel, gear and flap switch also. Hmm, not bad!

My favorite I don’t expect to fly anything else when this releases. I hope we can have human navigator so we can find our way to Norway and back
@dachsdk I have a saitek quadrant from the pro flight yoke I will use. .
Anymore know if the mossie has a stick or yoke?

That was just…mean…In a good way

Those clouds. My Sim Brain is smiling. My wallet, not so much; it’s trying to hide my eyes. Wallet: “Avert yur gaze”.

It’s going to be awhile before we get our hands on it… your wallet can focus on other more imminent things, such as the Mossie and Hind  .

The Mossie and the Longbow will get my full attention for sure. The Longbow must be multicrew able IMHO. Perhaps the Huey is a technology demonstrator/development mule.

Question, the few clips of the Fort sure appeared to have received special treatment, especially from the bomb bay. Would they do that much delaile for an AI aircraft?

I see reference to th AH 64 in a few posts, am I missing an announcement?

It truly is.

The last seconds of the video have a special surprise for you!

Going to watch it yet again :grinning:
OK I messed up and switched off after the happy new year text
Exciting times

Speaking of cows (0:49 tom 0:52 in the video). If you accidentally kill a cow (e.g. by landing a Viggen on it) and the cow is in your coalition (i.e. a Blue cow is your are also Blue), it evidently counts as a fratricide and you lose your points.

My point? I guess, “Beware Bovines.”, “Heed Heifers.”, “Caution: Cows.”…something like that. :slightly_smiling_face:

In case you didn’t know, all American Army helicopters are named after Indian tribes. Huey’s official name is Iroquois. But nobody uses it. OH 58 is Kiowa and so on.
So…APACHEEEEEE!!!

The F-15C after parked and shut down by AI opens it’s panels, although low detail because it’s FC3. The new BTR-82 has fully detailed suspension on the bottom behind those giant tires, and the new T-72B3 looks to be equally done. One of the German WWII radar units is modeled with it’s door open, and an interior. So yea, for a B-17 I could see them doing that, even just for AI - so they can take that kind of footage for the occasional marketing material.
