There it is. Right click on a map object (like the beacons at an airfield, not ones you place (maybe ones you place, didn’t try those)) and it pops up. If you select Assign As, it seems to create a trigger zone with some properties set. Not sure what it could be used for outside mission creation … but I am not as knowledgeable in that area.
I think I have figured this out. It probably is a developer’s tool.
Right click on a map object and get an “assign as…” window.
Left click and you will get a new trigger zone, centered on the object and sized to just fit the object!
I think this could be an easy way to select an object to either be destroyed or deleted from the scenery. Quickly set a bunch of zones and then go into triggers. Set the appropriate trigger then clone for each zone.
It is not perfect. A long but relatively thin building will have much of its zone overlap the building next to it. Still i
I have a feeling that it may be tied to the internal DCS supply mechanism and maybe something geared toward mission creation with the dynamic campaign engine.
Oh cool! I remember reading an Air International article years ago about Tornados and Buccaneers doing low level anti runway attacks in the gulf war. Might need to get the Jeff…
We do, but with durandals in our arsenal, a bug or a viper can play at that too. In fact, laying down sticks of retards is exactly the same, except for the fireworks that follow.
