  • Improved rudder pedals adjustment mechanism. It now works in the following manner: pull handle and adjust rudder pedals distance while keeping the handle pulled, then release handle. Using keyboard or joystick commands also works correctly now
  • Added backlight to FD front cockpit buttons that are not activated
  • Added smoke command to communications menu
  • Deleted attack commands from comms menu of C-101EB
  • Changed 3D model of cockpit mirror
  • Harnesses are now correctly displayed when control stick is hidden

  • Torpedoes from U-boat or S-boat could be fired to unmoved targets only
  • MP: Ship speed calculated with errors and drifted, so aircraft can slide on the deck

I’m one of the odd ones here who only run stable.

What’s quite nice about this whole working-from-home thing is, I’ve just fired up the PC to run the update - hours before I’m actually going to fly!

My standard modus operandi is to fire up DCS at 8.30pm to get a little bit of flying done before bed and then get infuriated by the fact that I need to wait for an entirely unexpected 2GB DL to finish before flying.

I think this is the first time in my life I’m actually having the update running without me sitting in front of the computer looking impatient and crestfallen. I am not a smart man.

Also the Bf109 ai are now officially excellent. I am dripping with sweat after 30 minutes dogfighting on Normandy and he is still flying I am out of bullets and wingmen. I did bag on though :smiley:

Plus the /mods/terrain/(mapname)/misc/metacache/dcs folder. That folder is in your main DCS(open beta) folder, not saved games.

Personally I need someone yelling “Do some of that pilot ■■■■” from the back seat to be efficient in a dogfight. Even if he ejects himself prematurely.

Just a quick warning, hoggit folks are reporting that the new update breaks the dedicated server if the mission uses carriers. Also, the Viper showed all d/l contacts as friendly unless SURV is disabled. Fingers crossed for a hotfix.

DCS 2.5.6.47224 Open Beta
On my first run, VR, it seemed fine - however it was a very simple mission in the PG: launch, tank, CASE-1.

Performance seemed maaaayybe a tad better. Not worse. Occasional stutter but that may have been due to an on-demand re-build of some shaders (I deleted all the old ones prior to start); in a 30 minute flight only 3 stutters, lasting only about 1/2 second.

Have an older system: i6800k @ 4.5mhz, 32Gb, nVidia 1080 with 8Gb VRAM, SATA SSD drive (scary I know what all that gibberish means now)

Did you update nvidia driver which was released yesterday or day before? I need to do more testing but it seemed smoother to me. I probably should revisit the graphics settings and see what tweaks I can make. Sea looks better though :+1:
