Transport.dll encompasses all moving ground units.
Currently, units driving on roads can occasionally lose their sanity and as a result, the game or server will crash.
The update to “improve off road travel” for AI ground units took a clunky but working feature and resulted in one of our missions having a LAV that drives with a column up the open desert of the east coast of the PG peninsula suddenly break away from his column and go swimming along the coast (it’s a repeatable event).
You can also crash the game by destroying a bridge now as units drive across it (A bug I reported and it was confirmed to the team).
Unfortunately I did use this feature as a way to do it without scripting and the need to download MOOSE, etc. I had a pretty good mission going and then, “Poof”! It doesn’t work.
Oh I know you can use other Triggers and set zones to make troops “appear” and “disappear” to simulate getting out/in a helo but there are limits with that - besides it was way cooler to see them run over to where you landed.
ED will fix it, my life will be complete I’ll be happy again forever…well…probably not that much but it will be nice.
EDIT: …and I still want the whole aforementioned Imperial/Metric units swap inside ME…let us not forget that!
@bignewy said on discord we should see the patch in about an hour.
I don’t think there is one. There’s a few videos out that show off the new channel map. It looks to be about 150nm across. It looks like the UK side is way more detailed than it was on Normandy, but I was happy to have the UK on the normandy map in the first place.
I am hoping that The Channel has more detail than continuous bocage, as trying to work ground units through all the trees is not a pleasant experience.
