Guess I can wait for the bundle, If it does actually have a different price, dunno.

Ummm…what happened to Leatherneck?

“And there was much rejoicing.”

Well, well, well…this is going to be fun! Thanks ED for making this change without killing old missions.

Oh come on, it was longer than that…at least 15 minutes… :open_mouth:

Yeah the early AJS-37 video’s still show Leatherneck. The studio split up to form Heatblur and Magnitude 3.

Thanks…I really need to start reading the memos…

12 mins, Dragon was in orbit 12 mins after launch… :joy:

Oh dear.

I just flew the Spitfire vs Fw-109A dogfight instant action over the channel map and my PC lay gasping for mercy after three frames. Holy slideshow batman! Mercy!

I would…truly I would…except your morning is like 20 hours before mine… :astonished:

The bundle should come out tomorrow and will cost $68 according to bignewy on the discord.

Yes sir! And discombombulated the sharpeners, refactored the rectifiers and deleted the excess delta’s.

Only one run though, and I have tweaked some settings (shadows to low). Those were very detailed, and very English houses in a rather astounding number. All of them with hedgerows and fences around their pretty little backyards. Oh, and a burning hun.

The other maps all look and feel just peachy. Silky smooth. Seems the MRAAMS such as sparrow and slammer now are fixed. Sparrows didn’t seem as useless as last patch. Not murderous boomsticks of doom either.

Grab your morning coffee before you read this :coffee:

After all these years… This is my favorite patch in a long time. Curious to learn if it is closer to bms now in terms of performance. If so… I guess we will have a slight imbalance wrt the adder…

Of course, in addition to fin actuation some missiles have vectored thrust which is a different matter.

The comments about the missile plume are self evident if you’ve ever watched a Falcon 9 booster landing. The bottom of the rocket doesn’t have reentry heating protection, that would weigh a ton (or maybe more than a ton). Instead, the engine burns at a low level the entire time and the plume itself shields the rocket from the worst of the reentry.

I believe plumes even show on radar, depending on the radar frequency of course. Plumes and even shockwaves can increase RCS which is why stealthy missiles and bombs are subsonic and jet powered if at all.

That’s a pretty sweet concept, cooling by igniting some fuel, that one is new to me, thanks :+1:

For the amraam… That booster is only there to stuff as much energy into the missile as possible, TV wouldn’t bring any benefit that I can see, only added weight… Perhaps more relevant to the aim 9 family?
