Reports indicate no, or very little, FPS hit. I’ve not personally tried it yet
FPS wise I see no difference while using A/G radar vs. keeping it silent/off.
So, can you guys actually pick out targets, buildings etc. with that ground radar?
I was able to locate ships, make out packs of buildings, airfields, shore lines. For finer accuracy we will have to wait for implementation of EXP modes.

Anybody else having barley visible Huds?
In the F16 and A10 I cam barley see my hud anywhere. It’s real light. Even turning the brightness up didn’t help. I’m running the open beta that just came out.
I notice the warning lights are invisible in the A10C and hornet. I think something broke

Just bought the Jug, can we have it as aircraft of the month in an aid to learning. Or for those that have it can we share what works etc. I am not good with engine management
We cant call it a hanger queen just yet, hasnt even got dust on it! The flies on the windscreen are still twitching their legs from the flight in!!
It’s a nice stable ride but turns like a slug and doesn’t like a slow speed approach though trying to slow it down is difficult. It’s like the hip in that respect fast and heavy
So…I tried the latest OpenBeta with the MiG-21 yesterday. I am running in VR (Rift S).
When I get to the cockpit, the VR handsets change to controlling the stick and throttle. That is, when you press the grasp button, which normally makes the virtual hand into a pointing finger (), instead it grabs the stick (right controller) or throttle (left controller).
At first I suspected that @smokinhole had gotten ahold of my computer. (For the new guys who didn’t get that, read “Cut the cord, Man” on the Mudspike Homepage)
I had just been flying a Viggen (all safe landings @Troll…may I please take off the training wheels) with no issue. I tried the Mirage 2000 and FA-18. Again no issues.
Typically, if you move your virtual hand over the stick and “grab” you will grab the stick. Otherwise, if you do that away from the stick, it turns into the “laser pointer hand” that you point at switch and press another button to “click” it…pretty much just like the mouse.
I tried different settings in the VR options. No joy.

Hinges on how long it takes for a fix. It’s a pretty big issue so I expect the damage model will get hot fixed in a day or two.
