That great thing about @Hangar200’s stories, is there is some sim forum in Russia right now and a small group of people are participating in a chat, and some Russian dude is saying…

“So we were holding off the coast of Cuba, capturing ELINT data near the USS Guam, and I look through my binoculars at the deck and what do we see? An F-4 that must have crash landed on the ship! And this Navy officer…running lap, after lap, after lap up and down the deck. Maddening.”

“But weirdest thing we saw was watching this suka throw a life vest with chem light into the water. Whole ship start going nuts, we thought we were spotted. No, they thought comrade fell overboard. Not like us when Dmitri fell over last week. We throw him tea and tell him look for submarine. Americans not smart.”

It’s really confusing, as when a kid in the UK, we visited this place:

…but I only discovered later that there is another bigger one in Normandy, with the exact same name

Those French are as crazy as le renard…

The curved corners.

Took the A-10C up around KP in Erl Sis.

Nice update to the cockpit.

I just treated myself to the yak 52 and the spitfire…

First impressions after a quick 5 minute buzz in each.

Love the yak. Docile. Willing. Powerful. Awesome. Feels like the real thing.
Spitfire is a handful. Slightly scary and I crashed it… first of many I assume. Ground handling…well there isnt any.

But that yak…mmmmmm

One thing about the DCS Spitfire is you don’t need a key binding to shut down the engine, as I’ve never got that far. :boom:

Hopefully a mod will come out and we’ll get concrete runways there for Cold War scenarios.

Enjoy! I’m sitting here… pondering about the JF-17 and the MiG-19…

Once you get the hang of the Spitfire it flies like a dream! I’ll dabble in the Mustang, the Yak, the Anton, and the Kufurst, but I always find myself coming back to the Spit.

If anyone did this DeHavilland DH-108

We would also have the Swallow, along with the Spit.
