DCS 2.5.x Screenshots (2020)

I learned English by reading Harry Potter and The Hobbit and later LotR. I also practiced speaking online on TeamSpeak with other people from around the world which helped a lot but I learned to love the language when I discovered Terry Pratchett. That man was a genius wordsmith. I love his work.

…could be worse…in the 1985 film Better Off Dead, John Cusack’s character “…regularly encounters two Korean drag racers… one of whom learned to speak English by listening to Howard Cosell.” (Wikipedia).

Anyway some screen shots from my MiG-21 ride.

The last two shots are from the Kodori Gorge in Abkhazia - Kind of like the Mach Loop for DCS.

Would you believe my first active use of the english language was wrestling with the highly age-inapropriate Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards back when I was a little boy? “Open door”, “look at wall”, “Buy rubber” stuff like that.

Been meaning to post this a while…Is it just me or is it frick’n hard to take out an IL-76 with Gen 2 or 3 fighters?

I hit this one with a MiG-19. It has sucked up an AA-2 missile, a boat load of S-5 rockets and more 30mm canon rounds than you can stick shake at… It is down to one engine and still flying…OK, it isn’t exactly in prime shape but really? It’s go more holes than…than …than something something with a lot of holes…and the crew hasn’t bailed yet? :hushed:

From what I recall reading and I am not sure if it is still true but DCS can only handle two engine. So our four-engined planes are only twins to the game - so if you knock out three, the game would count that like 1.5/2, hence why they don’t go down until all four (2/2) are toast or you break a wing off.

Mag3’s updates are so very welcome. Love these guys. But, I’ve been pre-occupied and I need to play with it more. Why? Because, Johnny come-lately comes marchin’ home from a forgotten war from a forgotten corner of the world where the piston never completely died out.

Maybe/kinda/sorta. There have been times where the IL-76 is still flying with no engines. Most effective solution is to take the tail off.

Your armchairs must have a LOT more horsepower than the ones I’ve had…

This is me, looking at me, after a failed take-off attempt, and I’m asking ‘Are you kidding me?!?’

By the light of the Moon
one night in June
In a Hornet,
pullin’ g’s…

Did a low level ingress through the mountain pass then followed a river to the initial point for an OCA strike.

The pic of the strike don’t do it justice. Will have to put up a video.

I just made a bomb dunkirk mission with the new map and took some screens as it is such a pretty map although far from optimised. Taken in 2d as I was testing and editing

How far south does the map go? I’m sure there can be some fun had raiding some of the sub pens if they are on there.

Is it possible to get the wheelchocks removed for a Replay without taking control? I want to get a video of this launch.
