Goodness that’s beautiful! Why did we ever start painting warplanes with boring grey colours instead of polishing the skin*! I had to do a double take because my brain wanted to see a Mirage III or something instead of a modern aircraft, heheh…
(*Rhetorical question - I know real aircraft don’t look like that under the paint anymore…but a man can dream)
Imo the best looking jets are late 70s us navy. Gloss grey and whites, yellow nose cones and colourful markings on every bird, not just the cag bird. They were glorious.
…a Syria map Easter Egg?…the USAF Crash and Salvage team at Incirlik AB practicing fire fighting!
…really? → (not really, I made that myself to see how it would look…pretty cool)
My customary 9/11 flight in some kind of Murica-themed livery. I could have sworn there was one with a 9/11 tribute on the speedbrake but I couldn’t find it.
rockets winchester, going for guns … this was probably a mistake on my part …
in the original mission, I took a hit to the right engine and limped about 2 miles before crashing, but in the replay I took a burst of 23mm straight to the cockpit killing everyone … and I didnt get a shot of the burning wreckage.
Nice work! I am yet to master it…I haven’t really properly tried but whenever I give it a quick shot I end up with this retarded wonky roll and don’t get the proper nose down attitude before it’s time to pick up the nose wheel.
Testing continues on my squadrons persistent Syria map featuring Skynet controlled, overlapping SA-6, SA-11 and SA-10s which are protected by SHORADS such as SA-15, SA-8, SA-13, SA-9 and Manpads. You can built FOBs and FARPs using helicopters, fly CAS and CSAR with Helis and A-10Cs, call in artillery strikes with helicopters, Deep Strike, SEAD, DEAD, CAP, and OCA missions can all be flown simultanously against AI or player controlled CAP and destroyed units are saved and will reappear as wrecks after a server restart. I haven’t had this much fun in a long time. The A-10C and helicopters are so much fun on a detailed map like Syria.
Shooting a buddy is sometimes necessary to remind them not to overfly targets directly
After a quick refuel in the dark (when are they going to fix the probe light?!? Refueling with NVGs is a b****!) I have some excess fuel to burn as I head back to the carrier
