@Clutch how do you do it. Your scale models are incredible, your screenshot are photo realistic. I bet your car is so shiny you can see your face in it!! I’m extremely jealous of your work

Hunters over the Yalu, complete! An incredible experience. Having flown the P-51D and the WW2 campaign by the same author extensively I finally came to the full realization how much of an upgrade the Sabre was compared to its legacy. Tricycle gear, electronic canopy, new updated altimeter, radar ranging, auto-bombing system, trim hat, all that good stuff.

The campaign itself was also a blast. A series of well designed but mostly quite straightforward missions. You’ll get to do some CAS and strikes early on before transitioning to do some MiGCAP. The campaign builds some tension with the northern aces like “honcho” and “casey jones”, and its interesting how that all plays out (and I won’t spoil that for you  )

Another sight that doesn’t grow old fast.

I’ve always been a big fan of the gyrosight in the P-51, and the Sabre sight is a straight-up improvement on that. I’ll have to give it credit for helping me score 13 victories.

The Yalu river itself.

During the campaign I didn’t die or had to eject. I did get kissed by MiGs twice, however. This was the worst.

I do have some negative remarks about the campaign though. While its design etcetera was completely fine, the AI did really get in the way of enjoyment at times. Without their radars, RWRs and TGP’s they have a very hard time to get their bearings in both air-to-air as well as air-to-ground. This wasn’t such a big deal in the WW2 campaigns were everything happens a lot slower, but in Korea we were usually already well into the merge by the time my buddies realized there was a fight going on. Idem with CAS, they usually waited for me to drop my bombs before realizing bad guys were around and started their own attacks. Its understandable that AI’s and players cannot have an exactly the same flight model, but it was annoying that we can’t have the same performance in either the climb or the cruise. At some point, the AI just fell way behind without me being anywhere near max throttle. I hope ED revisits these planes to give them an upgrade. I don’t wanna come off as negative, I really enjoyed flying it but I also saw some things that could have been better. I’m going to hold off on Jagdflieger and Horrido for a little while longer, but will dive into the F-14A campaign by this author as soon as it is ready (and I find time to fly again  )

All luck, no skill  If the MiGs were luckier with their hits I’d be pushing daisies.

I’ve been sitting on this campaign mainly because I keep encountering a flight-model bug with the Sabre: In the 20,000ft range and somewhere between 0.8~0.9M, my ailerons lock up when doing hard turns to the left, and only the left.
